New York City-based dancer, performer and teacher, Dan Walczak brings his modern technique and style for students to explore in this master class.
Dan spent the majority of 2008-2014 working intensely as a core member of Andrea Miller’s Gallim Dance, where he had the opportunity to participate in the creation of multiple world premieres and perform at prestigious venues such as the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Joyce Theater, New York City Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chutzpah! Festival, Theatre National de Chaillot and other venues across Europe, Canada and the United States. He has taught at universities and conservatories such as the Julliard School, Tish School of the Arts, Barnard College, Montclair University, University of Tulsa, Columbia College of Chicago and Connecticut College, among others, and often works with Brooklyn-based youth dance program, Dancewave. Walczak was also a faculty member of The Performance Arts Project in 2016. Now a freelance artist, Walczak has worked with MADBOOTS DANCE, LoudHoundMovement, Terndrup/Belchum Productions, Patricia Noworol Dance Theater and continues work with Gallim Dance.
