Pilates at Dancers' Workshop

PILATES PROGRAM

The Pilates Program at Dancers' Workshop offers a dynamic, integrative approach to the art of teaching and practicing Pilates. The mind and body must work together to achieve good health using breath, flow, precision, concentration, control and the core. We strive to promote a friendly, open atmosphere for beginning to advanced students.

Proven benefits of Pilates include increased strength and flexibility, better coordination, improved posture, balance and core strength, and increased lung capacity and circulation. Pilates prevents and alleviates back pain, promotes relaxation and stress reduction, increases mental focus and clarity, and enhances athletic performance.

ONGOING MAT CLASSES

Pilates mat classes focus on the principles of Pilates in a non-competitive, open level class environment. The instructors pay special attention to students to ensure that they are working safely and at their appropriate level of challenge. The class challenges students to work on concentration, control, stability, precision, flow and breath. Provided props including fitness circles, toning balls and flex bands are sometimes used for added resistance. With regular attendance, students will experience increased strength, flexibility, coordination and stamina.

GROUP REFORMER WORKSHOPS

This is a small group equipment class that integrates strength training, core-stabilization and stretching. Done on the Allegro 2 Reformers, this is a fun and motivating group workout! Each workshop is a progression of four sessions and is limited to 4 students. We do not extend refunds for missed classes. Pre-registration required / 307-733-6398, pilates@dwjh.org

PRIVATE 

Clients receive a customized workout in this one-on-one training using various apparatus: reformer, trapeze Table, chairs, barrels, small balls & fitness circles. Sessions are designed to meet your specific needs, ranging from rehabilitation and strengthening to body alignment and core work. Pre-registration required / 307-733-6398, pilates@dwjh.org 

DUET

For clients to utilize all the Pilates equipment while receiving a great amount of private attention. You can schedule to your convenience upon our availability. Find a partner and sign up together. If necessary, we can try to coordinate a partner for you. Pre-registration required / 307-733-6398, pilates@dwjh.org

TRIO or QUAD

A small group equipment class done on the Allegro 2 Reformers. Mat work can also be incorporated. You can schedule to your convenience upon our availability. We can help to coordinate partners for you, but we prefer you to find your group and sign up together. Pre-registration required / 307-733-6398, pilates@dwjh.org

SHOE & DRESS CODE

Please, no street shoes; clean soles only. Wear whatever you’re comfortable in!
