Good morning, Last month took me away from my habitual patterns of teaching from my studio at DW and all the way to Ashland, Oregon where I took two weeks as a teaching assistant for Hugh Milne and his Visionary Craniosacral Work®. Hugh states that the word Heart has four words in it: EAR, HEAR, HEAT and ART. As a student of Visionary Craniosacral Work®, we are required to ‘listen’ not only through the EAR, but to HEAR - with our whole being - what may be troubling another human. We learn to perceive, not just with our eyes, but with an ‘in-sight’ into the internal component of intuition. A visionary is someone who trusts what they perceive outside and what they sense inside. And values both with equanimity. The HEAT from the healer’s hands is a potent form of energy and working with hot blooded human beings should not just be regarded as science, rather the highest form of an ART. As Kate Kosharek and I are preparing to teach: Finding Foundation in the Pelvis an Online Workshop - Monday Oct 12, 2:00-3:30pm via Zoom. And if you can’t make the live class, it is also available On Demand. - I want to offer some additional information from a Craniosacral perspective. The sacrum is the ‘sacred’ bone. A highly energized bony structure and cannot be overestimated in any assessment of the role it plays in also determining cranial dynamics and pelvic balance. The sacrum is moved externally by almost any leg, low back or hip movement but it also moves within the pelvic girdle, and upon itself under the influence of the core link. With diligent hands on Sacral work or using your MELT® roller to release the surrounding pelvic muscles like piriformis, gluteus medius and other deeper pelvic floor muscles, low back pain and sciatica can sometimes disappear completely.
