I would like to share with you award-winning artist Paul Bond. He was born in 1964 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Bond's art lives in the spaces between dreaming and reality. Drawing from the Latin American genre of Magic Realism, his paintings merge symbolic, surreal and allegorical elements with realistic atmospheres.

This is a time to redefine travel, to travel through our days, to give way to our feelings, our ups and downs, to learn a new language of navigating the unknown.
This is a time to call on all of our creative resources. How can we be creative and fulfill that niche of desire with more self initiative and nurture ourselves while learning more about what is immediately available to us?
Find a book that transports you to a place you have always wanted to visit or take time to reminisce and cherish memories of exotic places travelled to.
Reflect on all that has shifted our perspectives and taught us something we didn’t know about ourselves… before.

Traveling can also make you feel differently about home.
Everywhere is home to someone or something!
It has been such a beautiful summer... and I for one, have never spent this much time in my home nor have I ever been so grateful for the safety of my nest, a place where I am loved, cared for and can play in.
Jackson as our home has much to offer; endless bike trails, hiking, magnificent landscapes and beautiful rivers. I hold dear the beauty of the lands surrounding us that we can stretch out in...not only physically, but mentally too.
It provides a much needed space many in this world do not have.
For the first time since I moved here 22 years ago, I have begun to do river floats and rafting again.
A day on the river can clear your mind and soften your heart.

Interpretations of Home

Memories of travel are so visual. As I look back through journals I have kept while traveling, I recall people I met and places I visited. Images flood my mind!
I will never forget while traveling through India and realizing that everyone there makes almost everything they need. You need a pair of shoes, you make them; you need a school bus, you make one.
Contrary to our culture, where we make money in an effort to buy everything we need.
But as an artist, I believe that something quite primal is lost in the absence of making. The problem solving, the envisioning and the resolve… creating can be so fulfilling in the end.
Draw your day.

Flight of the Muse

Each place one travels to has a different soundscape…because I live in one of the most beautiful places surrounded by nature, when I travel, I love to experience the hustle and bustle of other cities and cultures.
I walk the streets endlessly and watch the parade of people. I love to follow my nose... map in my pocket. Choosing and experiencing new cuisines and interesting restaurants is a favorite.
But now, here at home, I am cooking more than I ever have or thought I would! Trying new recipes from different countries is now one of my coveted ways to relax. I have created a beautiful outdoor dining garden area and planted my favorite flowers; begonias of all colors.
Play the Italian operas loud, dance in the kitchen with one you love and cook your favorite exotic dish!
