Welcome to a Sunday Edition of DW Winter Productions

Reflecting on past DW Winter Productions,

we are filled with nostalgia.

Each year we create our

own original interpretation of a classic tale.

We then cast and design roles specifically for each student.

Step into “the Wardrobe” and dance down memory lane with us

as we share exceptional moments from past Productions

Every year we normally create and present a Winter Production with

approximately 130-140 student/community cast members.

Over 3,000 audience members

come to share the magic with us and leave their daily lives behind.

It is in the imagination, after all,

that we often find the greatest freedom,

the most truly vast universe of possibilities for compassion, love, perception

and the never ending quest for inner growth and understanding.

Imagination invites “play”,

and the ability to play is more valuable than gold.

To play unhindered is possible, even necessary, in times of the greatest hindrance.

The performers’ smiles in these photographs speak loudly to the joy of play.

Our ability to imagine is the fertile ground for what we create.

The desire to play resonates at the very core of our being,

and the courage to create teaches us about who we are and who we can become.

At DW we play seriously!

The hundreds of young people and adults which create our DW family

study and practice their art on a regular basis.

Through this process, we grow to understand

the beauty, honesty and self fulfillment of artistic expression

and the richness it brings to our lives and our community.

Every time we perform, we treasure sharing our love of movement with you.

We hope that you enjoyed these expressions

of hope and timelessness

from DW Winter Production pasts…

in the name of play,

in the name of joy,

in the name of curiosity.

Join us in imagining what is possible.

This year’s Winter Production, Nutcracker Sweets,

will debut on film in your home, beginning December 25th.

And see you next Sunday.
